Freetown — Ports Authority captain and left full back, Osman Yunnus Friday denied reports in one of the local tabloids that he would be fit to play against AS Bamako of Mali in their second leg tie.

Yunnus who is recovering from a foot injury said, "I will miss both legs despite my condition is improving.

I am not fit to play in any of those matches," he said.

"Even if even my condition improves early February I need some time to start light movements and training before I am 100% fit to join the team for effective training," Yunnus said.

"I hope we defeat AS Bamako. I will be fit for the other matches." He hailed the technical team for the support they gave him throughout.

The left full back lauded the Football Association President, Nahim Khadi and head coach of the national team Jobbor Sherrighton for their concern.

He called on his team mates to stay focus.
