Liberia: 8 ECOBank Employees Held For Theft

Eight employees of ECOBANK in Monrovia have been held by Police for allegedly tempering with customers' accounts and making away with nearly US$407,000.

Some of the suspects not identified withdrew US$100,000 and suspects Julius Thomas, Ernest Choloplay and Paul Somah in 2005 allegedly made away with US$307,000.00 from customers' accounts, making the total sum US$407,000.
