Nairobi — Richard Okia's brilliant performance with the ball gave Uganda a four run win over Kenya "A" in a friendly match at Sir Ali Muslim Club yesterday.
Okia took five wickets and restricted Kenya to 196.
Uganda who were put in to bat first set a target of 201 with Kenneth Kamyuka's contribution of 44.
Lameck Onyango was just one run short of Okia's haul.
In reply Jadavji Jesani top scored for Kenya with 67 and shared a seventh wicket stand of 73 with Rajesh Bhudia. That was the best partnership for Kenya.
Uganda and Tanzania arrived in the country on Tuesday to take part in warm-up matches with some of the top associate members of International Cricket Council in Nairobi to take part in the World Cricket League Division One starting on Monday.
On Thursday Tanzania's national team proved no match for Kenya "A" who beat them by 108 runs at the Parklands Sports Club in another friendly encounter.
Batting first after winning the toss, Kenya "A" set a target of 239 with Jesani's contribution of 70. Rakeb Patel and Timothy Muange got 42 apiece.
In reply Tanzania could only manage a paltry 137 by the time all their batsmen had been taken back to the pavilion. Benjamin Mwita was the highest runs getter for Tanzania with 33.
Tanzania play Canada at the Sir Ali Muslim Club while Uganda tackle Bermuda at Parklands Sports Club today.
