Addis Ababa — Ethiopia's Ministry of Information says the 8th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union opening on Monday is expected to discuss and pass several decisions on the crisis in Somalia and in Sudan's Darfur region.
In its weekly statement on Friday, the Ministry said the summit's deliberations on the situation in Somalia should step up the favorable conditions currently created in the country after 16 years of turmoil, in order to create lasting peace and security.
