Tanzania: Deadly 'Nairobi Flies' Fly Into Town Again

Arusha — They are tiny, almost invisible but the next time you wake up in the morning with some unexplainable itchy or even painful rashes on your skin, then chances are that, the deadly little insects known as 'Nairobi Flies,' or 'Champion Flies' had taken a leisure tour on the exposed parts of your anatomy.

And they usually don't wait for the dusk either, a careless move in the bushes lower tree branches or sitting on the grass, is surely guaranteed to harvest the two-colored insects into your clothes, any time of the day. The Nairobi Flies also can be spotted on most toilet ceilings or seats. One thing for sure, the insects are back in town after they were last seen here in 1998.
