The United States embassy in Liberia has announced the reopening of the consular section for full non-immigrant visa services beginning today, January 29, 2007 but with a new visa appointment system.

The statement said appointments can only be made using the visa information and appointment Service, and can only be scheduled through this new service.

"The service will handle the scheduling of all non-immigrant visa interview appointments and, in addition will provide information on how to apply for a visa," the embassy said, adding that under the new system, appointments are available only via a new telephone-based system.
