Freetown — Publicity Secretary of the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), Hon. Victor Reider Friday charged that his party is no match to any political party in the country.
He made this statement at a press conference held at the party's headquarters at Wallace Johnson Street.
"Considering the unprecedented successes of the party, it will be dishonest for Sierra Leoneans to say that SLPP has not done anything," he stated, and disclosed that the Paris Club of creditors has cancelled $US 250 million debt owed by Sierra Leone.
Hon. Reider stated that party executives at constituency levels have been mandated to select their candidates for the parliamentary seats.
"Only a grassroot member will be awarded a symbol.
Unlike other political parties, the SLPP has a culture of true democracy that does not permit the abuse of office by any one," he stated.
