Johannesburg — THIS forecasting business in a bull market seems to be a doddle. You look at a good company, note that the investment fundamentals are solid enough to substantiate earnings growth and, voila! You stick your neck out and guesstimate the share price will rise by about the same rate as earnings growth.
As long as the bulls are running, the guesstimate is bound to be somewhere in the ball park.
