Kenya: Revenue Authority Investigates Crafty Traders

Nairobi — Some businessmen, including politicians, are under investigation for allegedly importing counterfeit goods worth billions of shillings through the port of Mombasa.

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) say goods being imported through the port of Mombasa include counterfeit items like electronic gadgets, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, garments and food.
