South Africa: Ma Tambo hailed as a mother to young activists

Pretoria — The late Adelaide Tambo has been hailed as a true heroine who was not only a liberation fighter but also a mother to countless young activists.

Speaking at the memorial service for Ma Tambo held at Tshwane University of Technology, where she was the first chancellor, Education Minister Naledi Pandor said she was a mother to young activist who were forced into exile by the apartheid regime.
