Nairobi — My fellow Gambians, our current President Yahya Jammeh has apparently gone mad thanks to his maniac signs and symptoms. Yahya Jammeh may be suffering from a serious mental disorder clinically known as Mixed Mania or Bipolar disorder. Am very optimistic that some of the Nursing students and the staff at Campama Psych Unit know exactly what am talking about.
A person with this sort of mental disorder presents the following signs and symptoms:
-depression
-moodswings
-agitated melancholy
-grandious delusions( delusion de grandeur)
-speech and thought disorders, etc.
Our President has so far demonstrated most of the above signs and symptoms, only that he is yet to be diagnosed medically with Bipolar disease.
A wise man once told me that there is an African country that had a similar President with The Gambia. He said it took the people of Central Africa Republic ten years to realise their former dictator, Jean-Bedel Bokassa was clinically insane as he was later diagnosed with schizophrenia. General Bokassa claimed that he was the last disciple of the messiah Jesus, son of Mary. Similarly, Yaya Jammeh always claims that he speaks with the Almighty God and that he has a bank account with Him( God). His latest insanity is his so-called ability to cure HIV/AIDS, Asthma, Diabetis and other ailments. This is indeed the greatest lie a President has ever told since Bokassa. Our Health Minister, Alaji-Dr.Tamsir Mbowe should inform Jammeh that HIV/AIDS, asthma and diabetis are medical conditions and not spiritually caused, if only he is sincere enough.
My fellow countrymen, women and children, since we have a ruler who has gone insane, we should all unite under one front and drive this diabolical monster away from our noble land.
Yaya Jammeh is a rude reminder of an old adage that still holds time thus: "A semi-litrate leader who honours not his people, who is also dishonest and opaque in his administration shall not have his throne established long. His similitude is that of a donkey that is laden with volumes of books and knows nothing about them but for their heaviness".
