Nairobi — To say Samuel Wanjiru is the new kid on the blocks is an understatement. The unassuming 20-year-old running sensation is defying the form books long before he becomes a household name.
Born Samuel Kamau, he has twice broken the world half marathon record. First, towards the end of 2005 in Rotterdam, when he posted 59 minutes 16 seconds while still a junior, and again last Friday in Dubai.
