Uganda: Safe Water for All - Ndawula

Kiboga — NDAWULA Kaweesi's mission is to ensure that all residents get access to safe clean water to reduce water-borne diseases. As MP for Kiboga West in Kiboga district, Mr Ndawula says because the area he represents is semi-arid, many residents have difficulty in accessing safe clean water which has resulted in diseases like bilharzia.

"Many residents draw water from ponds which has resulted in many becoming ill," he says. He says to tackle the problem, he has embarked on a rain water harvesting project and drilling and repair of boreholes in the area.
