Uganda: Poor Roads, Rail Lead to High Costs of Imports

Kampala — Poor roads and a dilapidated railway between Uganda and Mombasa Port have led to the high cost of imported commodities, a transport expert has explained.

"Poor infrastructure is reflected in higher transport costs and longer delivery time," Jennifer Mwijjuke, the general secretary of the Uganda Freight Forwarders Association, said.
