There was not a single objection from any Capetonian when the then administrator of the Cape approved township rights at Oudekraal in 1957, the Cape High Court has heard.
Advocate Ashley Binns-Ward SC, arguing for Oudekraal Estates in a review application brought by the City of Cape Town, SA Heritage Resources Authority and SA National Parks, also told the court that some appalling decisions during the apartheid era had not been set aside because of the general court rule that review applications had to be made timeously.
