South Africa: First Traditional Healers Summit for Northern Cape

The Northern Cape Department of Health is holding a Traditional Health Practitioners summit to explore the role of traditional healers in the implementation of the province's Comprehensive Plan for the Management of HIV, AIDS and TB.

About 250 Traditional Healers Practitioners from throughout the province, together with the representatives of the National Department of Health, members of the Provincial AIDS Council as well as representatives of various organizations and support groups are currently attending the Summit.
