Nigeria: Kebbi Devotes 40 Percent of Budget to Education

Birnin Kebbi — The Kebbi State government has devoted about 40 percent of it annual budget to the education sector in the last seven and half years.

Governor Adamu Aliero, who made the disclosure at the opening ceremony of the 2006 North-West zone of the All Nigeria Conference of Principals of secondary schools (ANCOPSS) in Birnin Kebbi said the amount set aside by his government was unprecedented in the history of the state.
