Huambo — One person died of cholera in the last 24 hours, in the locality of Kaluti, central Huambo Province, increasing to 41 the number of victims of this disease since the outbreak of the pandemic was officially declared on November 24 last year, in this region.
According to local health official, Vicente de Assunção, in the same period five new cases of cholera were diagnosed in Huambo city counted, bringing to 729 the number of infected persons since the disease started.
The centre of cholera treatment set up near the regional hospital of Huambo, has been seeing around nine cholera patients per day.
