Nigeria: Gunmen Kill Owu Chief, 4 Others

Abeokuta — No fewer than four persons including an Owu chief, Adedotun Sowole, were shot dead by unknown gunmen who invaded head of communities and Oba's meetings in the Owuland held at Ansaru-deen Primary School, Atan-Ota in Ado-Odo Ota council area of Ogun state at the weekend.

Sowole, who was slained according to checks, was said to be at the meeting where some Baale and Obas who were installed last year by Olowu of Owu, Oba Olusanya Dosunmu, were waiting for the arrrival of the Olowu for an urgent meeting when gunmen invaded the venue and killed four persons.
