South Africa: Township Schools' Dignity Must be Restored - Shilowa

Tshwane — Gauteng Premier Mbhazima Shilowa has called on communities to reclaim the dignity of township schools which were once reservoirs of knowledge, progress and centres of excellence.

"It is here where teenage pregnancy is highest; dysfunctionality is common in these schools," Premier Shilowa said Wednesday, at the provincial commemoration of Human Rights Day in Sharpeville.
