Nigeria: Obasanjo Okays Fresh Tenure for Ribadu

Abuja — PRESIDENT Olusegun Obasanjo has approved the extension of office of the Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for another term of four years, just as he has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police.

The first tenure of Ribadu, as EFCC chairman, expired on Sunday, April 8, 2007.
