Kampala — What was supposed to be a peaceful demonstration turned bloody yesterday when at least three people died and scores were injured in a demonstration against the proposed giveaway of part of Mabira forest to the Mehta family.
Property was not spared either. It took divine intervention of a downpour that perhaps kept a charged mob away from the streets after Riot Police and Military Police had failed to control the mobs.
