Kampala — The Uganda government and Inveneo Inc., a non-profit social enterprise from San Francisco have entered a partnership for the later to manufacture and supply 5,000 battery-powered computers.
The Inveneo computers will be targeted at the rural schools of Uganda that don't have access to electricity in a move that will help narrow the so called digital divide in the education sector in Uganda.
