Tanzania: Now Dar Allows Private Firms to Set Up Their Own ICDs

Nairobi — Private companies can now run their own internal container depots (ICDs) in a move aimed at minimising congestion at the port of Dar es Salaam.

The Tanzania Revenue Authority, which will be responsible for supervising the depots, has issued guidelines for private freight operators who wish to make use of the facilities.
