Nigeria: Osile Community Boycotts Probe Panel

Awka — Osile Village in Ogbunike, where 12 people lost their lives and 73 houses destroyed during the recent civil disturbances which erupted in the community, has boycotted the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the Anambra State Government to investigate the crisis, accusing the chairman of the panel, Justice P.I Amaizu of bias.

Also, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, which has joint company with Osile village (NAUOSIL) on the disputed land, has also withdrawn from the commission, also on account of the panel chairman's alleged bias against the institution.
