Zimbabwe: Mann Fears Torture If Repatriated, Court Told

Harare — SIMON FRANCIS MANN, accused of masterminding a coup to topple Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, fears he could be tortured if sent to the west African country for trial.

But the State, led by chief law officer Mr Joseph Jagada, said the Equatorial Guinea government has made some undertakings with the Government of Zimbabwe to have an independent judge selected by the African Union to preside over Mann's trial.
