Nigeria: Heavy Security Presence Stalls Arms Handover

Yenagoa — Niger Delta militants' quest to return the military hardware in their possession to Bayelsa State government, as a show of solidarity to the incoming government of Chief Timipre Sylva, was yesterday stalled, following heavy security presence at the venue.

The militants told Sylva's Deputy, Peremobowei Ebebi, that they would be returning the arsenal in their possession at Sagbama Waterside, in Sagbama Local Government area of the state.
