Abuja — Federal Executive Council (FEC) has granted more powers to its two anti corruption agencies the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) to routinely investigate cases of corruption within the cadres of the civil service.
Information and Communications Minister, Mr. Frank Nweke Jnr, stated this on May 9 after the weekly FEC meeting, explaining that the review of disciplinary measures is to curtail corruption within the system in order to ensure compliance with the rules and to own up to individual actions.
