Johannesburg — IN MONDAY's The Bottom Line, colleague Rob Rose wrote: "The mooted marriage between JD Group and Steinhoff International could, with subtle tweaks, easily form the central theme of a Dilbert plot line."

Repeating this quote was irresistible given that if I were a shareholder in JD Group, on the company's investment fundamentals, the rationale for swapping JD Group's for Steinhoff shares is unconvincing.
