Johannesburg — LISTED animal feed and chicken business Astral Foods had significantly increased revenue and profit for the six months to March, despite unfavourable agricultural conditions, the company reported yesterday.
After what Astral described as the worst drought in 30 years, revenue rose 14% to R2,9bn and operating profit 10% to R456m. Headline earnings a share increased 12% to 776c.
