Somalia: Bomb Explodes As Ugandan Troops Pass By

Mogadishu — A bomb explosion could be heard in part of Mogadishu on Wednesday morning. The explosion evidently was targeted at a convoy of Ugandan forces passing by the main of Hamaraweyne neighborhood at the center of the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Hamaraweyne district commissioner, Ibrahim Saahal, told Shabelle that the explosion occurred near former Finance Ministry where the AU troops onboard their military trucks were passing by. "Well, it is hard to know casualties because the whole area was sealed off by the soldiers," he said.
