Botswana: Kulenyane DVD Launch on Saturday

Gaborone — Leading traditional group, Culture Spears of the Kulenyane fame, are expected to launch their much-awaited DVD this Saturday at Zebras Club in Mogoditshane.

The double-award winning group has described the six-track DVD as special. The DVD features songs like Kulenyane, Mapula, Nchadinyana, Borikhirikhi, Lorato and Re Mmogo. "Our DVD is exciting and it's a real thing which I would encourage people to buy. They would not regret having it. In this DVD, our supporters would get to know more about our lifestyles and much more. There will also get a glimpse of our live performances," said group leader Kabelo Mogwe on Monday. Interestingly, Culture Spears' fans will also hear an interview from Assistant Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Duncan Mlazie. Other interviews will include that of Gomolemo Motswaledi and an official from Department of Culture and Youth. With an overwhelming response to their CD, Culture Spears are confident that their fans will buy their DVD in large numbers. Mogwe further told Showbiz that they decided to do the launch this time, as there are no shows to entertain music lovers. He is not worried that not as many people would attend the launch because of money. "I'm confident that people will come and support us. The other advantage is that most music groups are free this time around unlike at the end of the month," he said.
