Botswana: Sports Complex to Change Lobatse Fortunes

Gaborone — Lobatse, long regarded as a ghost town, looks set for a major facelift as the government plans to build a P100 million stadium there, Sports director Falcon Sedimo has told Mmegi Sport.

He said in Gaborone yesterday that the stadium, which will be the second biggest after the National Stadium in Gaborone, would be built along the road to the Pioneer border gate. As an integrated sports facility, the 20,000-capacity stadium will comprise a football pitch, athletics track and facilities for other sports codes.
