Somalia: AU/AMISOM Troops Asked to Protect Bakara Market

Mogadishu — Tradesmen in Mogadishu's largest open-air Bakara market voiced security concerns following armed robbery in the market by men wearing the Somali government army uniforms.

They asked for the deployment of more AU/AMISOM troops in and around the business environs of the Bakara bazaar, which lies in the southern part of the gun-infested capital.
