Mutua — Mozambican President Armando Guebuza on Saturday inaugurated a new water treatment station in the central province of Sofala that will double the supply of water to the cities of Beira and Dondo.
Previously Beira and Dondo relied on water pumped from the irrigation system at the Mafambisse sugar plantation. This could only supply the two cities with 30,000 cubic metres of water a day.
