Liberia: Cutting Dissolves Student Government

The Board of Trustees of the Cuttington University has dissolved with immediate effect the Cuttington University Student Council Government (CUSA) and has also reduced the punishment placed on students who were involved in the recent violence on the campus.

Though the reason for the dissolution of the student Council government is yet to be known, the Board of Trustees of the CU said the present leadership of CUSA is dissolved with immediate effect and that the administration is to appoint a Liaison Committee that will administer the affairs of the student body until Dr. Guannu's Committee can submit its report on students' political activities to the administration.
