Uganda: Cranes Homework

Having been taken on a ride to Nirvana by the Uganda Cranes last Saturday, I have had to take a reality check a week on. The Cranes have put one foot through the door to the Nations Cup finals with that momentous victory over Nigeria's Super Eagles at Namboole, and it would be a disaster if our heroes didn't swing the other foot to kick the rest of the door in and plant themselves firmly into the Ghana 2008 frame.

The rapid rise of The Cranes has swept many unsuspecting fans off their feet, and such are the standards they have set in this campaign that, despite the magnitude of the result at Namboole last weekend, a little reflection has me believing that each one of the players can do better as none of them really hit their heights on the day.
