Asaba — MEMBERS of the Delta State House of Assembly were sharply divided over the present nagging issue of hike in petroluem products and Value Added Tax (VAT) but however through majority voice vote, managed to pass a resolution calling on President Umaru Yar'Adua to revert to the old prices to avert the looming nationwide strike action.
The heated debate which lasted for over one hour saw some members kicking against the motion saying that although the effect of the increase was too painful but maintained that it was part of the reform that Nigerians should be prepared to accept for the betterment of the nation tomorrow.
