Nigeria: Militants Demand N12m Ransom to Free 2 Abducted Indians

Warri — A delegation of the Delta Waterways Security Committee met, Tuesday, with the militant group that kidnapped two Indian workers of an Oghara-based rubber firm at Sapele, Delta State but the embattled militants demanded for N12 million ransom and release of two of their members, captured by the Joint Military Task Force (JMTF) in the Niger-Delta before they would free the hostages.

The two hostages were kidnapped, last Friday, June 15, by the militants at Akintola Junction, Sapele by the militants while they were being conveyed to work in a bus. It was the first time since the hostage-taking business started in the region that militants stormed Sapele.
