Nigeria: Malpractices - Neco Insists On Zero Tolerance

Abuja — The National Examinations Council (NECO) yesterday insisted that it will not tolerate sharp practices from candidates and invigilators during the ongoing Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations. To this end, the examination body has deployed over 1,325 officers to custodian points (where question papers are kept prior to examinations) and examination centres to avoid leakages.

In addition, the council has engaged the services of about 10,000 supervisors to administer the examinations and ensure that good examination ethics and best practices are adhered to throughout the period of the examination.
