Kenya: Jesuit Project Marks Five Years of Battling HIV /Aids in Africa

Nairobi — The Catholic Church's presence everywhere in Africa puts it in a good position to coordinate appropriate responses to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, the pope's envoy to Kenya said.

But fighting the pandemic poses a double challenge to the church, namely, providing care to the infected and affected without losing the value of human life and dignity, said Archbishop Alan Paul Lebeaupin.
