Milan — Eritreans living in Milan, Italy, have accepted the responsibility of supporting 251 families of fallen heroes and have collected over 106,000 Euros to this end.
On the occasion of Martyr's Day observances in the city, the names of 12 exemplary nationals who fulfilled their pledge of support for two years was listed and a new one was made.
Reports indicated that over 1,000 Eritreans residing in Milan held a candle vigil on the commemoration of Martyrs Day. Speaking on the occasion, the Eritrean Consul General in the city, Mr. Solomon Kinfe, called on all citizens to work harder honoring the trust of martyrs.
