Maputo — The governor of the southern Mozambican province of Inhambane, Francisco Itai Meque, has sacked the administrator of Homoine district, Mariazinha Domingos, appointing Patricio de Jesus to replace her.
During the ceremony to swear the new administrator into office, Meque claimed that the sacking of Domingos had nothing to do with the complaints against her that local residents presented to President Armando Guebuza when he visited Homoine in May.
