Nigeria: Rivers First Lady Condemns Abduction of 3-Year-Old

Port Harcourt — WIFE of the Rivers State Governor, Mrs. Tonia Omehia, has condemned last week's abduction of a three-year-old son of a female member of the state House of Assembly. Noting that the action was sad and satanic, Mrs. Omehia, who spoke at a non-denominational prayer session tagged, "Rivers Women Cry to God", observed that only prayers could end the sad situation of hostage taking in the region.

"Nothing can quell the restiveness and militancy in the Niger Delta except prayers, we need God's intervention now and I believe through prayers, He will bring down the problem of this region", she said.
