Nigeria: 4-Year Development Plan to Cost N173 Billion

Lagos — Kano state government has introduced a four year development which aims to take the state out of its current economic stagnation and ensure rapid development of key sectors of the economy.

Making this known while delivering a keynote address at the opening of a three day retreat for members of the state executive council in Gusau at the weekend, Governor Shekarau said the plan is expected to cost about N173b and will cover the period 2008 to 2011. He said in fashioning out the plan, a comprehensive study of the state's human potential as well as national reform and development agenda were put into consideration.
