Luanda — BOTSWANA Parliament speaker, Patrick Balopi, Thursday in Luanda expressed his country's interest in co-operating with Angola in the diamond sector.
This was expressed at the end of the meeting Patrick Balopi held with the minister of Geology and Mining, Manuel Africano.
The parliamentarian said that his visit to Geology and Mining Ministry, aimed at learning how mineral production in Angola has been helping to solve the populations needs.
In his turn, Angolan Geology and Mining minister, Manuel Africano, said Angola in this sector has cooperation agreements with South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo and is negotiating with Mozambique and Namibia.
Today morning, Patrick Baloti visited Angola Diamond Company (Endiama) and Diamond Trade Firm (Sodiam).
Botswana is the world's main diamond producer.
