Brasilia — The Ambassador of Angola to Brazil, Leovigildo da Costa e Silva received Tuesday in Brasília, a Merit Medal and Diplomat of "Don Juan VI" from the Federation of Press Associations of Brazil jointly with the National Press Federation, Brazilian Press Association and the Brazilian Institute of Governmental Studies.
The Brazilian press merit is awarded to distinct personalities by these institutions with the support of the Brazilian Institute of Monarchy Studies.
Simultaneously to this event, the Angolan Ambassador was also honoured by the National Federation of Afro-Brazilian Culture, having received the title of "Great Well-Deserving owner of the Brazilian Afro-Bantu Culture".
Leovigildo da Costa e Silva is the fifth Angolan Ambassador to Brazil, after Francisco Romão (1987-1993), Alfredo Salvaterra (1994-1995), Osvaldo Serra Van-Dúnem (1995-2000) and Alberto Correia Neto (2000-2006)
