Sierra Leone: AFRC Indictees Await Judgment

Freetown — Judgment is expected to be passed on the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) indictees: Alex Tamba Brima, Ibrahim Bazzy Kamara and Santigie Kanu who have been found guilty of 11-count charge for crime against humanity on Thursday at the Special Court.

The prosecution counsel asked for either a single "global sentence" of 60 years for Brima, 60 years for Kamara and 50 years for Kanu or multiple sentences to be served consecutively.
