Uganda: Mayor Survives Censure

Kampala — A group of Lira municipal councillors who had sought to censure the deputy mayor, Mike Okidi, have withdrawn their petition. They had accused him of incompetence.

This follows a meeting of Uganda People's Congress (UPC) party leaders in their office on Monday, in which it was resolved to iron out the conflict between Okidi and other councillors.
