Nigeria: Etteh Shuts Out AC Reps From Committee Positions

Abuja — Members of the Action Congress (AC) in the House of Representatives have been shut out of selection in the leadership of the House's committees now being constituted, on account of their party's refusal to participate in the Government of National Unity (GNU).

The party's Leader and Minority Whip in the House, Mr. Femi Gbajamila told a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday that the speaker, Mrs. Patricia Etteh told him that AC members would not be considered because of their lack of support for the idea.
